How do I register my STIHL machine?;
Registration takes place online in a few minutes via the official STIHL Club platform, in 4 steps: enter the serial number and date of purchase, select the dealer from whom you purchased the machine, fill in your personal details and interests and submit the application. Registration must be completed within 30 days of purchase, so that the additional warranty applies.
Where can I find the serial number of my tool?;
The serial number is written on a label attached to the tool. The exact location varies by model and is detailed in the product instructions.
Which products can participate in the extended warranty program?;
All STIHL machines are eligible to participate: chainsaws, lawn mowers, lawn mowers, hedge trimmers, blowers and more. Batteries and chargers are excluded. The extension always concerns 1 year extra of the existing basic guarantee. The basic warranty varies by model and usage: 2 years for amateur/home use, 1 year for professional use.
What are the benefits of product registration?;
By registering your product within 30 days of purchase, you receive one additional year of warranty for free for your STIHL machine. For amateur models, coverage is extended from 2 to 3 years, while for professional models, coverage is extended from 1 to 2 years.
Where can I see my registered machines?;
After successful registration, you will receive a confirmation email. We recommend that you always have it handy, printed or saved in your emails, along with your proof of purchase, as you will need it in case of repair within the extended warranty period.
Can I list more than one product at the same time?;
Yes. The STIHL platform allows you to register multiple products at the same time, completing the process even easier and faster. This is especially useful if you have purchased a whole set of STIHL machines.
How does registration work for rechargeable (battery) sets?;
For rechargeable product sets, please register both the machine and the corresponding battery, to help improve STIHL services. Please note, however, that the warranty extension only applies to the machine and not to the battery or charger: these are excluded from the program.
Is there a maximum total guarantee limit?;
Yes. The total warranty period of a STIHL machine cannot exceed 3 years (36 months). If you have already earned additional warranty for this specific machine through a different warranty extension program, the maximum period remains 3 years and this limit cannot be exceeded.
What do I do if a repair is needed during the extension?;
To claim the 12-month extended warranty, you must present both the invoice/receipt of purchase as well as the registration confirmation that you received by e-mail. Bring these two documents with you to our store for the repair. As an official certified STIHL Cyprus dealer, we immediately undertake any warranty repair with genuine spare parts.
What happens if the 30 days pass without me registering the machine?;
In this case, it is no longer possible to activate the additional warranty and only the basic factory warranty will apply (2 years for amateur use, 1 year for professional use). No extension of the 30-day deadline is provided., so machines registered later are not eligible for the additional warranty period. We therefore recommend that you complete the registration as soon as possible after purchase. It only takes a few minutes online.
How does the warranty differ between amateur and professional use?;
The STIHL basic factory warranty varies depending on how the machine is used:
- Amateur / Home use: 2 years basic warranty + 1 year with registration = 3 years in total.
- Professional use: 1 year basic warranty + 1 year with registration = 2 years total.
In any case, registering your product within 30 days of purchase gives you the additional warranty time free of charge. The maximum total duration provided by STIHL is 3 years (36 months) and cannot be exceeded, even if you combine different extension programs.
